Rebuilt through strength — twice.
The story behind Inclusive Fitness, and why core work is built into everything I coach.
Jo — Personal Trainer
I got my first set of dumbbells at 13, and got serious about the gym while rebuilding my confidence after a difficult relationship in my twenties. Strength training, quite literally, put me back together.
Years later, after two children left me with a weak core and pelvic floor, I decided to understand postnatal recovery properly. Appropriate core work is built into every session I run, as it is crucial at every age.
Today I run Inclusive Fitness from a private studio in Woking, working one-to-one with women who are new to exercise, navigating menopause, rebuilding after having a baby, or simply done feeling out of place at the gym. No yelling, no army-style bootcamp energy — just tailored coaching that meets you where you are.
"I want to be a Personal Trainer that people can actually trust — and stay strong enough to keep up with my own kids for a very long time yet."
When I'm not coaching, I'm usually training for something myself — a race, a personal best, or just the next challenge.
